Sadaqah & Thawaab e Jaariya
Sadaqah Jariyah
In short
Ongoing charity whose reward continues for the deceased.
Charity whose benefit continues long after it is given.
Sadaqah Jariyah
RecommendedSadaqah Jariyah is charity whose benefit continues — such as a water well, a copy of the Quran placed in a mosque, or support for education. Its reward continues for as long as people benefit.
Gifting reward to the deceased
RecommendedAny good deed — prayer, Quran, fasting, charity or ziyarah — can be performed with the intention of gifting its reward to the deceased. This is voluntary and a continuing kindness from the living.
